A 23-month-old toddler is dead after she was left unattended just long enough for a bathroom visit.
She wandered into the back yard and ended up in the family pool.

The tragedy happened Saturday evening in the 6500 block of
Adielana Martinez had been playing in the family room while her mother slept. Her father, who was taking care of her, left the room just long enough to visit the bathroom, he said. When he returned Adielana was nowhere to be found.
Her father searched the house for her before finding the sliding glass door ajar and then seeing his daughter floating face-down in the shallow end of the pool.
